Adzukiiro

Adzukiiro is a deep burgundy red color fitting of its namesake, red beans. The ink is relatively dark but also saturated and playful, especially in comparison to other Kyo no oto inks.

In light washes, you can get a beautiful cherry blossom pink, so I used that as inspiration for this drawing of a girl enjoying some sakura mochi after her graduation ceremony. The ink has a bit of shading and it's chromatography shows off a nice range of dyes in the mixture. I do think this ink runs dry, both in washes and in a pen, so I would be choosy about the pen and nib I would use this ink in.
