China Blue

China Blue is a soft, warm blue reminiscent of porcelain china. Even in writing the color is not extremely saturated, giving a grounded feel in the lines. Both the wash test and the chromatography test shows that the ink itself is made up of a single color and quite diluted as well. In washes it easily lightens to a soft pastel blue, and I used that color to my advantage to depict a girl in a light dream as she sleeps.
