Yamaguri

Yama-guri is japanese for “mountain chestnut”, and the ink is a slightly green-tinged brown color fitting of this name. In writing, the color is subtle and lighter than most brown inks, making it very easy on the eyes to read. The chromatography test reveals a complex mix of inks, including a black ink that appears water resistant. Diluting this ink actually brings out the pink tone more, creating a subtle hue variation in this drawing!
